"Complex, developing bouquet with aromas of preserved lemon and quince, peaches and apples, a core of stony minerality, layers of lees spice and a completeness. Equally complex on the palate, calm and confident, balanced and still fresh. Flavours reflect the nose with preserved citrus, apple and stone fruit highlights. The lees and acidity along with barrel ageing give this wine a fresh silky texture and lengthy detailed finish Balanced and ready, complex and long.

"Super-reductive aroma that is struck flint and charry oak but also do to with the origin, not just winemaking style, I believe. Underneath all the struck match is intense greengage fruit and bitter orange. Deep, long and intense with fabulous herbal/citrus purity. Stunning and so much ageing potential. Reverberant and endless. This may be an alternative style of NZ Sauvignon that you need to grow into but for me it is absolutely one of the best and most exciting wines made in Marlborough.
